As has been the custom in recent years, the EB1/PE da Marinheira school, from Portugal, has joined the Hour of Code 2019 initiative, which took place December 9-15. This activity fulfills a large number of the objectives of our project, namely promote 4C’s, create fun and engaging learning activities or improve ICT skills by using different web tools.

Underpinned by the slogan “Together for a better world,” Hour of Code is an international initiative that aims to provide students with an opportunity to learn some fundamental programming concepts in a fun way.

With these activities we aim for students to develop problem-solving skills, creativity, logical and abstract reasoning skills through initiation to visual programming. With these experiences and the use of the selected technology in the classroom we aim to improve teaching and learning process.

In a playful way, students have the opportunity to develop cross-curricular skills and reinforce their 21st century skills and so Learning 4 Tomorrow.


Learning 4 Tomorrow

is a project that focuses on cooperation and exchange of good practices between schools. The main goal of the project is to promote 4C’s (Critical thinking, Creativity, Collaboration and Communication). The project unites primary schools from LithuaniaFinlandItalySpainTurkey and Portugal.
